Our team
Marc Pierce
Owner / Head Dreamer
In 2008, he launched Warm Springs Productions with Chris Richardson, aiming to build a company that celebrated creativity, consistency and healthy work-life balance within the production space. Now, Marc leads the company’s development efforts, building relationships with network buyers and overseeing the business side of the leadership team: contracts, sales, and finances.
Marc’s favorite part of the job? Beyond loving the team he works with, he is in awe of the national and global reach of Warm Springs’ shows, with upwards of 100 million viewers per year across all series. A self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur, he ranks Warm Springs as his dream job—that is, if being lead guitarist in a rock band is taken.
Marc is also a Partner in the Montana brewery, Highlander Beer, is active on the board of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and is involved with his local church. He lives on a farm in Manhattan, Montana with his wife Sherrie, where they raised four kids and many Labrador Retrievers.
Chris Richardson
Owner / Chief Culture Creator
It might sound cliché, but for Chris, fulfillment in this field is truly all about the people. As company president, he holds quarterly meetings with every single employee to better understand their struggles, challenges and ideas as well as simply stay up to date with life events inside and outside of work. Chris is currently being raised by three teenagers, three English retrievers and an understanding and supportive wife in Missoula, MT, the place he’s called home for 30 years.
Bridger Pierce
Executive Vice President of Production
Hands down, his favorite part of the job is watching his staff grow, personally and professionally, as they build their lives around their creative passions. Everyday, he’s proud of the niche that Warm Springs has been able to carve out within the big-city-based production industry and knows how lucky he is to work among such humble, hungry, smart people (head nod to author Patrick Lencioni for writing his go-to management manual).
Bridger loves to fly fish, hunt, ski, trail run, and adventure with his wife and two energetic young sons. In spring, you can bet he’s cheering on the Chicago Cubs as often as possible, preferably with a cold IPA in hand.
Ben Ford
Senior Vice President of Development/Executive Producer
Now, he’s one of the faces of Warm Springs when it comes to pitching and selling all new projects, and he also manages the entire development team, discovering new talent and staying with shows to ensure that Warm Springs is producing the highest quality storytelling possible.
With three young kids, you can find him at soccer practice or Bridger ski school on the weekends, and if you don’t get an email response for a while, he’s probably backcountry skiing or on a long-distance cycle somewhere in the Greater Gallatin Valley of Bozeman, MT.
Traci Field
Chief Financial Officer
Her favorite parts of the job? Finding solutions to the unique challenges of a growing production company and seizing opportunities to catapult Warm Springs to the next level of success. Traci values honesty in the workplace, and lives by the mantra, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t—you’re right.”
A fifth generation Montanan, her family moved to Gallatin County in 1862, and settled just upriver from where she lives now. When she’s not at work, you can catch her outside hiking, picnicking, searching for cool rocks and bluebirds, or spending time with her “grandies” (generation seven!).
Troy Batzler
Senior Vice President of Field Operations/Executive Producer
These days, he oversees the travel, production and camera departments. When development hands off a series to Troy and his teams, they guide it through pre-production and into the field to execute the project. Each day, he’s inspired by the many different players that come together to contribute to the success of Warm Springs—an appreciation and admiration for others that stems from working with great teams both inside and outside of the production industry over the years.
Troy and his wife Lisa are currently kicking their son (a high school senior) out the door and off to college, and they are starting all over again with their 18-month-old daughter. They live in Sheridan, Montana, and Troy still has an entire file cabinet full of 35mm slides that need to be digitized, in case anyone is interested.
Eli Bierwag
VP of Post Production
Eli guides the post-production of all Warm Springs’ series, including the technical set up, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. In addition to these on-paper duties, he prides himself on advocating for his amazing staff, helping them to grow professionally towards their career goals while also nurturing the talent pool that keeps Warm Springs Productions strong.
Ask anyone who comes in contact with Eli, and they'll tell you he embodies empathy, hard work and humor every day—traits that he hopes are translating into being a good role model for his coworkers and his kids. Eli’s go-to quote to live by? “And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.” - John Steinbeck
Lee Robinson
Showrunner
Lee has written, produced, supervised, and served as Co-EP and EP for numerous series on a variety of networks, from HGTV to History. As a Showrunner for Warm Springs, he is in charge of series from conception to delivery, which includes staffing, creative, budget, writing, and more.
Lee’s diverse background has always been fueled by a love for finding the remarkable in even the unlikeliest of subjects and sharing it with audiences through compelling, well-crafted stories. He loves to hunt, ski, spearfish, and cook, and his sweet-spot of inspiration flows, “somewhere shortly after over-thinking.”
Fritz Statler
Director of Production
Fritz supervises the in-house camera team, hires best-in-class freelance field crews, and helps prep and plan new projects. An avid adventurer, he once spent six months in New Zealand, living in a refurbished tool shed—and his current hobbies include hunting, fishing, skiing, and camping. It’s no surprise then the quote he holds most dear: "It’s a magical world, Hobbes, ol’ buddy…Let’s go exploring!" - Calvin
Tyson Bierwag
Post-Production Operations Manager
Through his various business ventures, Tyson has learned that building trust starts with being honest and straightforward, and that trust is the foundation for openness, candor and creativity. Now, he uses this wisdom to manage Warm Springs’ Ingest, Post-Production Assistants, Assistant Editors, Graphics and Post-Production Coordinator teams.
Originally from Missoula, he knows firsthand the pull of the Montana Magic and spends his free time camping, playing softball and darts, and coming up with creative ideas in the shower.
Alysha Vold
Travel Manager
Born and raised in Montana, Alysha graduated from the University of Montana with a BSW. She enjoys hearing people's stories, collaborating and problem solving with her very creative coworkers.
When she's not at work, she enjoys camping, hiking, road trips and can't pass up a river or lake to take a swim in.
Kendall Kaiser
Director of Information Technology
Kendall manages technical workflows for post-production, oversees the systems that are used to create quality content, and ensures that all teams have the technical tools they need to be successful. He has always loved Montana and now relishes the opportunity to ski, hunt, hike, and enjoy its beauty year round as a resident. His favorite part of the job? Utilizing technology to help creative teams tell stories and cherishing the friendships he’s built at Warm Springs.
